Description
If you had a cinnamon bun or bread and experienced the calming, soothing flavour of cinnamon, it’s probably cassia cinnamon that’s behind it. Cassia cinnamon is mostly used commercially for baking and other culinary uses for its strong ‘cinnamon’ fragrance and flavour.
Cassia cinnamon contains the plant chemical ‘coumarin’ which is also a blood thinner.
Cold morning teas could always be made better with a dash of cinnamon. Cinnamon has a lot of healing properties, apart from the things it’s made up of, just the fragrance of cinnamon wafting through home when cooking makes you feel better. That’s why cinnamon is one of the more commonly used candle fragrances, because of its calming and soothing nature.
It is also commonly called as Dalcheeni in India.
